SEND

In January 2015 the new Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Code of Practice: 0-25 years was published by the Department for Education. Please take some time to look at our new SEND policy, our graduated response triangle, information for parents and information for children to find out what we do at Waycroft Academy for our children with SEND.

Our SEND Information Report forms part of Bristol City Council’s local offer. The Education Local Offer shows the special educational provision and training available in Bristol. It also includes information about education, health and care plans, funding arrangements for education settings and travel arrangements. Please look at the website below for further information on our setting.

For any additional information please contact Amanda Finch, SENCO, via the school office.

Transition

Waycroft has strong links across key stages including transitions from: the Early Years and Foundation Stage to Key Stage 1, Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 2 to secondary schools. A lot of time is spent ensuring effective transitions are planned and carried out to meet the needs of every child, including those with additional needs.
