Massive congratulations to Waycroft Academy’s Year 6 football team on their latest victory.
A brilliant 2–1 win means the team has lost only one game in the Bristol FA League this year. Throughout the season, the players have demonstrated incredible sportsmanship, outstanding teamwork, determination and resilience both on and off the pitch.
School leaders offered a big thank you goes to all the parents who have continually supported the team, attending matches and cheering the players on every step of the way.
They also thanked the staff who have generously given their time to organise fixtures and accompany children to events, as well as Jeff Dickens for his excellent refereeing throughout the season.
With the season drawing to a close, everyone at the academy has their fingers crossed for a league title win.
A spokesperson for the academy said: “We are incredibly proud of our Year 6 football team and everything they have achieved this season.
“Their commitment, teamwork and positive attitude have been exceptional, and they have represented Waycroft Academy with pride and sportsmanship at every match.
“We wish the players the very best as they continue their league campaign.”
