Paint and brushes were at the ready as pupils at Waycroft Academy teamed up with local artist Megan from Megan’s Studio to create a vibrant new mural within the academy.
Following a series of meetings with the school council, Megan worked closely with pupils to develop designs inspired by their ideas. Several children were also given the opportunity to take part in painting the mural, bringing their creative visions to life.
The project was made possible after Friends of Waycroft won a prize in a local competition, allowing the academy to collaborate with Megan and transform the space with colourful artwork.
The academy has extended a heartfelt thank you to Megan (@megans_studio) for her work in completing the murals, which have already made a lasting impression on the school community.
A spokesperson said: “We are incredibly proud of our pupils for their creativity and enthusiasm throughout this project.
“Working alongside Megan has been a fantastic experience, and the finished murals have truly brightened our academy. They reflect the voices and ideas of our children and will be enjoyed by everyone for years to come.”
