Friends of Waycroft

Do you know what the friends do? We are a group of parents who volunteer to run events that we hope your children enjoy. We raise funds that are donated to the school for items that help our children get the most they can out of their time at Waycroft.

In previous years, we have organised events such as a summer inflatable fayre and a winter wonderland Christmas fayre, film nights, Mother’s and Father’s Day gift sales, Easter competition, Christmas card art project, uniform sale, mufti days and a fashion show. The Circus has even come to Waycroft!

Over the years we have donated funds for the school to buy the following;

Reading books for all years groups, guided reading books for reception classes, recorders, sports balls, sports hoodies, a donation to each year group towards school trips, a Maypole, and canvas cards for Year 6 superhero boards.

Two of our biggest donations were for the library revamp and a trim trail in the playground.

Our team of Friends is not very big and we would love for you to join us. All help, no matter how much time you can spare is a great help. It would be lovely to see some new faces and new ideas. You can email us at [email protected] – we would love to hear from you.

Miss Jo Taylor – Chairperson

Hi I’m Jo, the current Chair of the PTA. My son is currently at the school, but I have previously been a part of the PTA when my two daughters attended. I love being involved in planning the events for the children and adding to their school memories, alongside the added bonus of raising funds for Waycroft.

Mrs Louise Moore – Vice Chairperson

Hi, I’m Lou and I am the Vice Chair for the Friends. I’ve been involved as a member since my son joined Waycroft in 2018 and have enjoyed helping run fun events for all the children. At home I like to go to the gym and spend time with my two children and husband.

Mrs Katie Genge – Treasurer

Hello, I’m Katie. I have three boys and have been an active member of the Friends since my first son started in 2017. I love helping out thinking up and delivering fun activities for the kids to enjoy and helping the school raise funds for exciting things.

Mrs Lisa Roberts – Secretary

Hi, I’m Lisa and I am the Friends of Waycroft Secretary. I have two children who started at Waycroft in 2019 and 2021. Family time is mostly spent having lots of fun. I volunteer for Friends to have an input and support the fun activities the kids enjoy at school.
